Appeal by the defendants, William B. Jackson and another, from an order of the Supreme Court, made at the Erie Special Term, bearing date the 11th day of May, 1'906, and entered in the office of the clerk of the county of Erie.

Nash, J.:

Sixteen indictments have been found by the grand jury of the county of Erie charging the defendants with the crimes of grand larceny, first degree, in receiving stolen property, of receiving bribes, and of asking for, agreeing to receive and receiving bribes, some of which are against both defendants jointly, some of them *698against each of the defendants severally, and two against these defendants jointly with others, all growing out of the same subject-matter.
