This is an appeal from an order of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, Southern Division, denying a writ of habeas corpus.

Appellant, J. J. Copeland, on December 8, 1928, was sentenced by the United States District Court for the District of Colorado to the United States Penitentiary at Leavenworth, Kan., on three separate counts of an indictment charging the acceptance of a bribe as a witness, which offense is punishable by. imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years (18 USCA § 240).
