KYZAR, Judge.

*710The defendant, Reokenski Vodise Thomas, appeals his convictions for first degree murder, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30(A)(3), and attempted first degree murder, violations of La.R.S. 14:27 and La.R.S. 14:30(A)(3). For the reasons herein, we affirm the defendant's convictions but set aside his sentences and remand the matter for resentencing.
