Appellant Brodrick Michael James pleaded guilty to three felony indictments for delivery of a controlled substance. 1 After a nonjury trial on punishment, the court sentenced James to 45 years in prison on each count, to run concurrently.
James appealed. He asserts that the trial court' erred by refusing his request, on the day of trial, for additional time to allow him to retain a new attorney. He also contends that the court erred by admitting into evidence an audio recording of an inadvertent “pocket-dialed” phone call placed to an undercover investigator.…
