Petitioners/plaintiffs below, Jennie Brooks, et al,1 (hereinafter “petitioners”) appeal the Circuit Court of Wayne County’s grant of *610respondent/defendant City of Huntington’s (hereinafter “respondent”) motion for remit-titur, following a four-day jury trial. The jury found respondent negligent in its maintenance of a “trash rack" within the Krouts Creek Stormwater Management project located in the City of Huntington, which negligence proximately caused flooding in petitioners’ Spring Valley neighborhood.
