This is a habeas corpus proceeding brought on the relation of Eugene Hollander to test the sufficiency of a warrant of extradition under which the relator has been taken into custody. The Governor’s warrant ran to the police commissioner of the city of Buffalo and the arrest was made by police officers acting under the direction of the police commissioner; The writ of habeas corpus was erroneously directed to the Sheriff of Erie County but this error has been disregarded by the parties and the case has been argued and presented as if the writ of habeas corpus had been properly directed to the…
