Defendant Sandra L. Schmitt (“Mrs. Schmitt”) brought divorce proceedings in Illinois state court against her husband, Kim A. Schmitt (“Mr.Schmitt”). The state trial court entered preliminary orders awarding Mrs. Schmitt substantial monthly maintenance fees and enjoining Mr. Schmitt and his various business entities, including CBC Bricks, Inc. (“CBC Bricks”), from disposing of assets.
