Warners is a settlement of four or five hundred people, seventy or eighty of whom are employed in the cement works. Most of the rest are employed in brick works. '

Cement has been made upon what is now the defendant’s property since 1886 or 1887. Dome kilns were originally used to dry and bum the product; but the plant was destroyed by fire and, some two years ago, when rebuilt, 'five rotary furnaces were substituted for the kilns. These furnaces are each some sixty feet long. After they are sufficiently heated, soft coal dust is forced, by a low air pressure, into one end and the liquid…
