OPINION

HENDLEY, Judge.

The Health and Social Services Department appeals an order of the Children’s Court involving a minor child alleged to be in need of supervision. The court found that the child was in need of psychiatric treatment; that the child’s stepfather could not afford to pay the child’s psychiatric treatment; and, that the State of New Mexico did not have an appropriate facility to treat the child. The court then ordered the child, pursuant to § 13-14 — 32, N. M.S.A.1953 (Repl.Vol. 3, 1968, Supp.1973) of the Children’s Code to be committed to Nazareth Sanitorium, a private…
