The indictment herein filed in DeSoto County, December 20, 1920, charges “that Elbert Coker, on the 5th day of September, in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty, at and in the County of DeSoto aforesaid, with force and arms in and upon one Lessie Boyette, a female, did make an assault, and her, the said Lessie Boyette, then an'd there feloniously did ravish and carnally know, forcibly and against the will of her the said Lessie Boyette, contrary to the form of the statute in such case made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the State of Florida.”
