GLASSMAN, Justice.

The defendants; James H. and Anne H. Hanson (Hansons), appeal from a judgment of the Superior Court, Androscoggin County, adopting a referee’s report fixing the location of the boundary between the Han-sons’ land and land owned by the plaintiffs, Kenneth H. Taylor, Ruth A. Taylor and Scott E. Taylor (Taylors). The Hansons claim that the referee erred in the interpretation of the controlling deed and was clearly erroneous in finding that the Han-sons had failed to prove the boundary by acquiescence.
