The respondent by his guardian brings this Action for damages occasioned by an injury received while in the employ of appellant in its sawmill at Tacoma. From a judgment for the plaintiff in the sum of $2,500, this appeal Is taken.
At the time of the accident a log, six feet in diameter and thirty feet long, was being moved across the log deck toward the carriage, by means of the chain and drum canting gear -ordinarily used in sawmills for this purpose.
