At the Spring Term of the Circuit Court, held in and for Alachua county, in the month of April, A. D. 1877, the plaintiff in error, Bill Nelson, was indicted by the grand jury for the murder of one Samuel H. Jackson. The offence is alleged in the indictment to have been committed in the county of Alachua on the fifth day of November, 1873.
