OPINION

A fatal car accident lies at the heart of this appeal. A motorist died after his vehicle collided with the rear end of a tractor trailer on Wampanoag Trail in East Providence. Donna J. Lord, individually, as surviving spouse of the decedent motorist, Stephen E.
