OPINION

Defendant, Edward Smith, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. 720 ILCS 570/401(c)(2) (West 2002). The circuit court of Champaign County entered judgment against defendant and sentenced him to 10 years’ imprisonment. The circuit court denied defendant’s subsequent motion to withdraw his guilty plea, and the appellate court affirmed. People v.
