OPINION

JUNELL, Justice.

This case concerns a will contest. Appellants are the named beneficiaries under the purported will of Pinkney H. Fowler. Ap-pellees are the nieces and nephews of the deceased.

Pinkney H. Fowler died on November 7, 1983. The following morning at 8:48 A.M., attorney James B. Earthman III offered for probate an instrument purported to be Mr. Fowler’s last will and testament. With the exception of a charitable bequest of $1000 to Sacred Heart Co-Cathedral (not a party to this appeal), all of decedent’s property was left to appellants, J.R. Hensley, James B.
