FOR THE COURT:
¶ 1. Jerry Darnell was convicted of the aggravated assault of Bernard Harris. The Lowndes County Circuit Court sentenced him to twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections with fifteen years to serve and five years suspended, followed by five years of post-release supervision. On appeal, Darnell claims; (1) the evidence was insufficient to convict him; (2) the jury’s verdict is contrary to the overwhelming weight of the evidence; (3) he received ineffective assistance of counsel; and (4) his sentence is excessive.
