This appeal is from an order of the chancellor directing distribution of a portion of the assets of the New Jersey *818Mutual Life Insurance Company among certain classes of claimants. In pursuance of an information filed against the company as an insolvent corporation, on the 30th of January, 1877, á temporary injunction was issued and a receiver appointed. Afterwards, by a decree made on the 1st of May, 1877, it was adjudged that, on the said 30th of January, the company had become insolvent; that the temporary injunction previously issued,…
