This is an appeal by Sindy Conant Ban-field, plaintiff in the trial court, from an instructed verdict in a workers’ compensation lawsuit in favor of the City of San Antonio, defendant in the trial court. Plaintiff sued to recover workers’ compensation benefits pursuant to Tex.Rev.Civ. Stat.Ann. art. 8309 (Vernon 1967). She alleged that she suffered a compensable injury in the course of her employment as a San Antonio Police Officer when she was accidentally shot by her minor son at her home.
