This case is before the court upon a petition for habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254, filed by counsel for Homer Lee Gowen, who contends that he has been aggrieved by the final judgment of the Circuit Court of the City of Lynchburg, Virginia, entered October 26, 1972, against him in favor of Mrs. Gowen, petitioner’s wife, for $2,170.00 and against him in favor of the Commonwealth in the form of a six months sentence with the Bureau of Correctional Field Units.
