This is an action by the wife against the husband for an absolute divorce npon the ground of cruelty as defined by R. L. H. 1935, § 4460, para. 8. A divorce was granted and the libelant awarded permanent alimony in gross in the sum of $38,000, said amount to be paid by the libelee at the rate of $300 per month, the first monthly installment or payment to be made on the first day of the calendar month next following the date of the amended decree and the subsequent installments or payments to be made on the first day of each and every month thereafter until the…
