This case represents one of several (Morgan Roofing Company, Inc. v. West Brothers of DeRidder, Louisiana, Inc., et al.; Lard Electric Company, Inc. v. Miller & Associates Construction Co., Inc., et al.; Thomas F. Webb v. W. W. Development Company) cases consolidated and tried together by the District Court and now all before this court on appeal. All arise from unpaid items due to subcontractors on a building that each had done work upon. After liens were filed, separate suits were instituted against both the prime contractor and the building owner. These separate suits were…
