This is an appeal by officials of West Texas State University 1 in their hereinafter named and designated capacities from a writ of mandamus issued by the district court directing and commanding that they recognize Darrel Aldridge as a student at said school and “ * * * permit him to participate in all courses of instruction for which he was then registered and all functions and activities to which his registration as a student would have entitled him.” The application for mandamus was filed by Aldridge after he had been placed on disciplinary probation by Dr. T.
