This case is before the court on the petitioner’s Motion to Confirm Arbitration Award and for Entry of Judgment. The motion is made under Va. Code § 8.01 -5 81.09, which provides that a party to an arbitration proceeding, such as the petitioner, may apply to the court to confirm an award. In this case, the petitioner so moved, but the respondent, other party to the arbitration, asks the court to vacate the award under Va. Code §§ 8.01-581.010 and 8.01-581.013.
