| tAppellant Connie S. York and appellee James A. York, Jr., were married on July 5, 1980, and were divorced by a decree entered on January 24, 2007. Subsequent to the divorce, each party filed various contempt motions against the other party alleging noncompliance with certain provisions of the divorce decree. Relevant to this appeal, a controversy arose between the parties regarding the meaning and effect of the divorce decree.
