Following Mary Reese’s death from an automobile accident, Reese’s children and the executor of her estate (“the plaintiffs”) filed suit against the Ford Motor Company (“Ford”) in the State Court of Cobb County. Ajury found in favor of Ford, andinCaseNo. A12A1848, the plaintiffs appeal from the judgment on the verdict. Before the appeal was docketed, however, the plaintiffs filed an extraordinary motion for new trial, which the trial court granted.
