The defendant, Trina Mobley, was convicted in a bench trial in the circuit court of Cook County of one count of residential burglary. Prior to her sentencing and at her request, the court ordered a Treatment Alternatives for Safe Communities (TASC) evaluation. Despite being clinically acceptable for TASC, the judge found that the defendant was statutorily ineligible for TASC services because of the felony residential burglary conviction and a prior felony conviction.
