SAUNDERS, Judge.

hOn January 15, 2005, the badly-burned bodies of the victims, Angela Matte and Jackie Campbell, were found at the scene of a trailer fire in Acadia Parish. Campbell’s remains were found on the floor of the bedroom, and Matte’s remains were found on the bed springs. There was wire wrapped around Matte’s neck. Neither the cause of the fire nor the victims’ deaths were determined. However, evidence indicated that the women were dead before the fire and that Matte was strangled.
