Fahey, J.
Defendant was convicted after a nonjury trial of, inter alia, attempted kidnapping in the second degree. On this appeal, we are asked to decide, among other issues, whether the trial court erred in admitting evidence of defendant’s prior conviction of a sex crime committed against a child, as relevant to his intent in the current offense. Defendant also challenges the legal sufficiency of the People’s evidence. We hold that the trial court did not err in admitting evidence of defendant’s prior conviction.
