The case at bar invites consideration of the plight of a child who was denied benefits ander her father’s groap life insarance policy solely hecaase she suffered the misfortane of being born illegitimate. She appeals the trial coart’s grant of sammary jadgment which directed that the entire proceeds he paid to her half sister who was horn legitimate.

The facts leading ap to this litigation are not complex. Denois Batcher, the insared, held a groap life insarance policy issaed by The Travelers Insarance Company throagh his employer, the Penn Central Railroad. The policy provided for $6,000 in…
