The Village of Campton Hills (the Village) was incorporated in 2007. Pursuant to section 7 — 3—1 of the Illinois Municipal Code (Municipal Code) (65 ILCS 5/7 — 3—1 (West 2006)), property owners who meet certain criteria may disconnect from a newly formed municipality within one year of incorporation.
