British Petroleum Exploration & Production, Inc. (BP)1 asks us to appoint a *128pretrial judge for eight cases that stem from the April 20, 2010 oil-spill incident at the Deepwater Horizon platform in the Gulf of Mexico.- Five cases are pending in Harris County, with three others in Galveston County.
