On April 4, 1974, the defendant, John Cobetto, was convicted by a jury in the circuit court of Montgomery County on two counts of an indictment charging the receiving of stolen property exceeding $150 in violation of section 16 — 1(d)(1) of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1973, ch. 38, pax. 16 — 1(d)(1)). The txial couxt imposed a Class 3 felony sentence of 1 to 3 yeaxs’ imprisonment and a fine of $1,000.
