This matter is before us on a motion to show cause why defendants’ appeal should not be dismissed because not perfected timely.

The record reflects the following chronology of events:(1) Plaintiff filed petition against defendants on May 14, 1975;(2) Defendants were personally served with a copy of the petition through their agents for service of process, as follows:
