This matter arose by reason of the fact that the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, W. Wilson White, while investigating and prosecuting a crime in *552the Federal jurisdiction, discovered that there was a man serving a prison term in Pennsylvania for a. crime which it now appears he did not commit, which fact launched an investigation in Pennsylvana under the direction of Herbert L. Maris, of the Philadelphia bar, assisted by George H. Class and George S. Sauliner, of the Delaware County bar, with the full cooperation of the Federal prosecutor and…
