This action is against the Town of Bethel, its town board, and George Neuhaus, individually and as Supervisor of the Town of Bethel. In its charge to the jury, the trial court advised the jury as to the liability of one directing the arrest of an individual by a police officer, as distinguished from the situation when such an individual merely gives information to an officer, leaving it to the officer to act or not as he deems fit.
