In a custody proceeding pursuant to Family Court Act article 6, the father appeals from an order of the Family Court, Queens County (Ambrosio, J.), dated November 19, 1986, which, after a hearing, dismissed his petition for custody of his son.

Ordered that the order is affirmed, without costs or disbursements.

Contrary to the father’s contentions we are satisfied that the Family Court’s denial of his custody petition was in the *685best interests of the child (see generally, Friederwitzer v Friederwitzer, 55 NY2d 89; Matter of Nehra v Uhlar, 43 NY2d 242).
