Plaintiff Wendy DaCosta, former executive secretary to Mayor Mark Boughton of the City of Danbury, brings this action against the City and Boughton alleging violations of her civil rights and defamation in connection with the termination of her employment. *38Pending before the court is defendants’ Motion for Protective Order (doc. # 127) and Motion for Sanctions (doc. # 128).1 For the reasons that follow, the Motion for Protective Order is granted in part and the Motion for Sanctions is denied.
