A petition for a writ of mandamus was filed in the circuit court of Pike county, Illinois by Boesch-Zeller, Inc., appellee here, to compel the appellant, Harold A. Hollembeak, ex-officio treasurer of the road and bridge fund, of the Town of New Salem, in that county, to pay two orders for $7,981.33 and $8.68 respectively, issued by the highway commissioner in payment of road equipment purchased by him.
