The North Shore Connecting Railroad was organized in 1921 with a nominal capital stock of $50,000, under the act for the incorporation of railroad companies, for the purpose stated in its articles of incorporation of building a railroad about one mile and a quarter long from a point on the right of way of the Chicago, North Shore and Milwaukee Railroad in the city of Evanston to another point on the right of way of the same railroad in the adjoining village of Wilmette.
