A Gwinnett County jury found Derek Pennington guilty beyond a reasonable doubt of false imprisonment, OCGA § 16-5-41 (a); burglary, OCGA § 16-7-1 (a); and aggravated assault, OCGA § 16-5-21 (a) (2). He appeals from the denial of his motion for new trial, contending that the evidence was insufficient to support his convictions and that he received ineffective assistance of trial counsel. For the following reasons, we affirm.
