WOLLMAN, Circuit Judge.
Kenneth Dewayne Williams was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death. The district court 2 denied his petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254. We affirm.

In 1999, Williams was sentenced to life in prison for capital murder, attempted capital murder, kidnaping, aggravated robbery, theft, and arson. On September 15, 1999, Williams began serving his sentence at the Cummins Unit of the Arkansas Department of Correction.
