In 2013, a jury found Kevin Brooks guilty of two counts of false imprisonment and one count each of armed robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and possession of cocaine. The trial court imposed a 20-year sentence for the armed robbery conviction, a consecutive 10-year sentence for the burglary conviction, and concurrent sentences for the remaining convictions.
