BETTS, District Judge.

This suit has been contested on both sides with great acrimony, and at an expense disproportioned to the amount in dispute or the importance of the case. The action is prosecuted for the recovery of wages alleged to be earned and due on a voyage from New York to Liverpool and back. The vessel was safely moored at her dock in New York, on the 15th of April, having come into the harbor the day previous. This was her port of final destination and discharge.
