Appeal from an order of the Supreme Court (Hughes, J.), entered May 27, 1999 in Albany County, which, inter alia, imposed sanctions against defendant’s counsel.

This appeal involves one of many orders issued throughout the State imposing-sanctions against the Andrew F. Capoccia Law Centers, L. L. C. (hereinafter Capoccia) for pursuing frivolous defenses and counterclaims on behalf of clients in debt collection cases (see, Citibank [S. Dakota] v Jones, 272 AD2d 815).
