The statement in the majority opinion shows that the subject-matter of this controversy is a little frame church building, built 57 years ago, and to that statement might be added that it is located in a rural district, miles from any city or village, and at a prominent crossroads in Mercer county. This latter statement does not appear in the record, but it is the fact. Another fact not shown by the record, but of such common knowledge that it may be judicially noticed, is that churches are being centralized in much the same manner as schools.
