Gold Kist, Inc. (“the employer”), appeals from a judgment of the Jefferson Circuit Court that, among other things, determined Denise Porter (“the employee”) to have suffered a cumulative-stress injury (i.e., carpal tunnel syndrome) in the course of her employment with the employer and awarding her permanent-partial-disability benefits under the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Act, § 25-5-1 et seq., Ala.
