—Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the County Court, Dutchess County (Dolan, J.), rendered May 15, 2000, convicting him of assault in the first degree and assault in the second degree (two counts), upon a jury verdict, and sentencing him to a determinate term of imprisonment of 15 years on the conviction of assault in the first degree and determinate terms of imprisonment of five years each on the convictions of assault in the second degree, one of the five-year terms to run consecutively with the 15-year term, and the other five-year term to run concurrently with the 15-year term.
