PHIPPS, Presiding Judge.

Maurice Morgan appeals his convictions for possessing controlled substances with the intent to distribute and possessing a firearm during the commission of a crime. He contends that the trial court erred by denying his motion to suppress the drug and weapon evidence, confiscated during a search of the vehicle in which he had been traveling as a passenger. Morgan maintains that the search stemmed from an unconstitutional traffic stop and therefore the cited evidence constituted fruit of the poisonous tree.
