Albert Jackson, Son Strother, and Armstead Lawson were jointly indicted for the murder of Mrs. Jeffie Hartley. The indictment was returned by the grand jury of Peach County at the September term, 1930. It alleged that the homicide occurred on January 21, 1930, and that Mrs. Hartley came to her death by reason of wounds inflicted upon her by the defendants, who used a wooden bludgeon, wooden stick, and other instrument of like kind, the same being a weapon likely to produce death.
